“How much will Implant, Cosmetic, and “Sleep” Dentistry Cost?”

Balle & Associates unique Type of Dentistry means that for almost every patient there is still hope and several options to choose from.  After you choose one of. Balle & Associates exclusive options to permanently solve your problems, you’ll feel great about yourself having regained the normal chewing, long-lasting beauty, and comfort that you deserve.

Dentistry that works well and lasts IS expensive; just like everything else in life these days.  We wish it wasn’t true but it simply is.  The good news is that you will have a hard time naming another investment you can make in yourself that provides the dividends of a pleasing smile and comfortable chewing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Prospective patients often ask, “what’s a ball park on cost?”  Attempting to give you an exact range of costs for your specific situation over the phone is impossible since your problems and needs are unique just to you.  We could have a “one size fits all fee”, but some patients would greatly underpay and others would greatly overpay.  Hardly anyone would think that was fair!  Balle & Associates devised a complete dental physical examination just for the purpose to eliminate guessing so you can get your “one of a kind” options with complete costs and length of time for your treatment.

IF YOU HAVE NO TEETH, ARE WEARING DENTURES, OR ALL YOUR NATURAL TEETH ARE “SHOT:” New teeth can be attached to implants and are either non-removable or removable from the implants.  Removable is less complex and thus less costly.  Non-removable are the best option and are more costly because of complexity.  The lowest cost dental implant options start at $7500-$10,000 per jaw IF you already have a perfect denture and perfect bone structure under the denture (a VERY rare occurrence).  For the newest technologies such as "Teeth in an Hour" and “Teeth in a Day”, treatment averages $24,000-35,000 per jaw.  In the most extreme cases, where patients waited a very-very long time to seek a solution, care can surpass $50,000 PER jaw (also a rare occurrence).

IF YOU ARE MISSING ONE OR TWO TEETH:
For single teeth, a dental implant can range in cost from $4000-$15,000 depending on whether it is “straight forward” or a highly complicated front of the mouth tooth which is “very difficult” to conceal and make appear natural and fool everyone else.
IF YOUR NATURAL TEETH ARE WORN DOWN AND “TIRED” FROM THE AGEING PROCESS AND/OR YOU ARE MISSING SOME OR MANY OF YOUR NATURAL TEETH:
You probably need a reconstruction using implants and crowns/veneers on your natural teeth.  What’s a reconstruction you ask?  Think of it as a remodel for your mouth and just like remodeling a hundred year old house, reconstructions are complicated scenarios; all the more reason you need one of a kind answers like Dr. Balle offers.  Reconstructions range from $25,000-$50,000 per jaw.

SLEEP DENTISTRY FOR THE FEARFUL for those that have been "terrorized" by previous dental visits:
The cost for sleep dentistry (where you “sleep” through the visit) is no additional charge with oral sedation other than the prescription you need to fill from the pharmacy.

Because Dr. Balle’s time is very limited (he devotes some of his time to teaching other doctors how to be better at the very same type of dentistry you are pursuing!), membership in his practice is limited and by application only.  Your next step is to apply to become a member and have a complete dental physical examination so you are no longer guessing about what your care will cost. The sooner you do, the sooner you’ll be on your way to comfortable chewing and a smile you’ll be proud of.

About medical and dental insurance:  Even though the latest dental technologies are considered medically necessary and are scientifically proven, dental plan coverage to rescue the worst dental disaster patient hardly touches what is needed to get you back to the healthy life of eating and self-confidence you deserve.  The objective of the insurance company is to give you the cheapest possible care.   This seldom provides for anything beyond basic generic emergency based treatment which is not what Balle & Associates’ Dentistry is all about.

Here are some ways that our other patients managed their costs and got their care done:
*Using cash (5%), credit (2.9%) and senior (5%) discounts for payment in full to reduce cost.
*Dental financing.  We have several companies than can finance up to $50,000 for care and in some cases even more based on your credit history
*Discover, American express, MasterCard or Visa time payments.
*Budgeting for your care over 2 years to make it more affordable.
*We also offer a “cruise plan.” You pre-pay every two weeks until you build up a balance to start.
*Home equity loans
*Loans from 401K/Pension plans
*Loans from life insurance/annuity policies
*Online personal loans:
   www.prosper.com,
   www.lendingclub.com
   www.circlelending.com
*Medical Savings account through an employer’s cafeteria plan; we can show you how it works.
*Gifts or Loans from friends or family members.
*Dental Insurance usually pays a maximum yearly benefit of $1,000-2,000 for your care
*Medical Insurance rarely covers anything related to the mouth. In the highly unlikely event that your company administers its own plan (self-insured employers), your company administrator might allow implant care; your company would know the specifics.

Dr. Balle & Associates’ Dentistry is tax deductible for most patients.  Even if you finance your care, you can deduct the full amount in the year that you start treatment.  Your tax adviser can help with this.

Implant Restoration
For whatever reason tooth loss has occurred – ineffective dentistry, lack of prevention (fluoride, flossing, brushing), periodontal disease – modern dentistry can provide permanent tooth replacement with the use of implant technology.
There are many different implant solutions depending on your existing condition. We can replace one tooth, a few teeth or all your teeth with implant dentistry. They will look and feel much more like natural teeth than dentures. Using Teeth in a Day and Teeth in an Hour technology, Balle & Associates Implant Dentistry can reverse decades of problems in a few hours. Implants have literally given complete functionality back to our patients.
We provide complete implant services right here in our in-office dental implant center. We can correct or re-do implants done elsewhere and offer second opinions.

Esthetic Smile Makeover
Who can benefit from a smile makeover? Patients with crowded, crooked or short teeth or those with spaces between many teeth, patients with congenitally underdeveloped or disfigured teeth or an entire smile darkened and stained by tetracycline medicine.
Because this is a makeover, not just a few front teeth, we are very conscious about how each tooth restoration will affect the other. Replacing the front six or eight teeth might make the most sense when considering what most people will see when you smile, but only enhancing a few front teeth can mean those new teeth might be prone to break or chip. An esthetic makeover without proper planning and follow through is not in our patients’ best long-term interest.
Since we strive for the highest quality and long-term patient satisfaction, it is difficult to proceed unless the patient approves a comprehensive makeover when warranted. Not every patient needs a comprehensive makeover, but we want to make sure our patients get the care they deserve.

Complete Rehabilitation
There are many reasons why one might need a full dental reconstruction. It can be because periodontal disease has destroyed supporting bone causing the loss of teeth or because of recurrent decay on multiple crowns and bridges. Maybe there are bite problems, which have caused excessive wear on the natural teeth and aggravated the TM jaw joint. Perhaps there has been traumatic injury to the mouth and teeth.
These conditions could warrant a rehabilitation of the entire mouth. Properly diagnosed, planned and executed, this type of dentistry has allowed patients to return to a comfortable, functional, stable oral health. A beautiful smile is an added benefit of this kind of dentistry. In addition, Teeth in a Day Technology allow rehabilitation and cosmetic dentistry to reverse decades of damage in about a day.
We believe patients are best served by taking advantage of our comprehensive expertise right from the beginning. If you are ready for a comprehensive approach, please call us.

Esthetic Techniques
CEREC- this is a CAD to fabricate porcelain crowns. The advantages to our patients are instead of having two appointments about 3 weeks apart, having to be numb twice and endure a temporary crown for two weeks. They now can have a crown or veneer in about an hour. This is a substantial savings of time for our patients. below is the link to CEREC

• Porcelain Veneers
A straighter, whiter, fuller smile is possible without braces and usually in two visits with veneers. These porcelain restorations are lifelike in strength, beauty and function.
• Tooth Contouring/Bonding
Chipped, cracked teeth refashioned and gaps closed usually in one visit. An enamel-like resin material is molecularly bonded to your teeth, layer by layer, to form a durable, natural-like fusion.
• Smile Whitening - Professional, in-office Power Teeth Bleaching technology is the most researched and scientifically proven way to whiten the teeth in the shortest time and the greatest number of shades. After little over an hour, your teeth are far whiter than they ever were. Years of smoking, coffee, and age can be erased. Touch-up treatments are needed since the teeth do continue to age along with the rest of you!
• Modern Orthodontics/Braces
Depending on the way a smile has developed braces might be the best and most effective solution for getting the results desired by the patient. Fortunately, straightening teeth for adults and children is faster and easier than ever before with “invisible” clear braces and “removable” braces, Invisalign.
• Gum line Reshaping
A smile can be transformed from gummy to perfect with painless laser treatment. Our expertise in laser dentistry offers patients a high level of artistic results and comfort.

Restorative Care
• Ceramic Inlays/Onlays
These are amazing breakthroughs in restorative care. Not too long ago we would have been placing many more crowns. When a tooth deteriorated from disease or cracked because of an old metal filling, it often required removal of significant natural tooth structure to securely place a crown. Now, there is an ‘in-between’ solution.
With ceramic onlays or inlays, we remove much less tooth to create an appropriate surface to secure the natural looking, tooth-like material. It’s molecularly bonded for a strong, durable, nature-mimicking result that can withstand the tremendous biting and chewing forces the mouth produces.
• Porcelain Crowns
Restoring worn, broken down teeth is more effective with modern esthetic crowns because they are molecularly bonded to your teeth not cemented like metal-based crowns. Because they are ALL-porcelain you won’t ever see a darkened line near the gum line like a metal-based crown.
• Porcelain Bridges
This natural-looking, missing teeth option can give patients the ability to remove their partial denture for good.
• Tooth-Colored ‘Fillings’
This is the modern, non-metal, healthier alternative to silver mercury fillings – minimal removable of tooth structure is required. Metal fillings usually need more space so they can be ‘plugged in’. Composite resin restorations or tooth-colored ‘fillings’ are molecularly bonded – creating a fusion of nature and advanced material. It’s healthy high-tech care.

• Periodontal (gum and bone infection) Treatment
Our hygienist is gentle with her caring skills in controlling periodontal disease. Because it is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults, we are diligent in our approach to making sure periodontal disease doesn’t destroy your smile. If you have noticed bleeding while brushing or flossing, you are experiencing the early stages of the disease. Please call our office and set up an appointment. We have many advanced treatments that can keep the disease from ruining your smile.

(Periodontal disease may significantly impact pregnant individuals or those with diabetes or cardiovascular disease. Individuals with periodontal disease may have significantly increased risk for heart diseases and stroke. Women with periodontitis may have increased risk for delivering pre-term, low birth weight babies. Preliminary evidence suggests that periodontal infections may also be associated with lung disease and other remote site infections.)
